Our company dates its founding to 1930, when Genshichi Hirata started his own business. Hongo Co., Ltd., our other predecessor, dates its founding to 1959, when Toshiaki Imai named his shop Imai Seisakusho. Both of these two founders established the foundations for business operations that continue to this day from the turbulent times of the postwar period through the rapid economic growth period while always looking over the horizon, and entrusted and handed over the baton to the next generation. Among the many companies engaged in the press sheet metal processing business, these two companies’ growth in conjunction with Japan’s evolving motorization were on good terms with each other and shared much in common with each other, such as Hirata and Hongo initiating over-the-counter trading of their stocks in 1994 and 2000, respectively, and both companies proceeded with joint ventures overseas from the 1980s onward. With advent of the 21st century, under circumstances where global expansion continues to accelerate, both companies made a decision to merge, concentrate management resources, and survive the competition, and H-one was born in 2006 and continues to move forward today.
